God's Mystery Guidance

First Step: Looking for Work

When i was searching for work, i saw Vodaphone Myers and i thought meh vodaphone they usually would require good experience with mobiles but ill join anyways, so i just randomly wrote down my name and attached my resume and that was it. Then i started looking for other jobs, with the other job applications i took alot of time to review what i said, writing down my details carefully and also writing out a cover letter!! and double checking the resume then sending the applications in, although it was only 2 other jobs i applied for but nonetheless i still put in effort for them.

Surprisingly enough, all i received was a call from vodaphone and none of the other 2 jobs that i did put in effort in applying.

Now the story of the phone call...
last year i received alot of (07) numbers to my mobile and decided it was time i never pick up their phone call again and just hang up when i see the number... which i did (btw they were telemarketers). For a long time, they have never called back and recently i received 1 which i hanged up, then few days later i received one again which i hanged up again. (i have been suspecting that these were the 2 other jobs i applied for, but even if it is, i Thank God for God's guidance, in later chapters you will see)

Then less than 1 hour later, a (02) number came in, i was sooo close to hanging it up when suddenly something in my mind struck saying i should pick up this call, and so i did! When i picked up..

Steven: Hello?
Lady: Is this Steven?
Steven: erh... yeah (thinking how does a telemarketer know my name!!!)
Lady: well, the purpose of this call was in regards to the job you have applied for with vodaphone.
Steven: OH!!!
and so on ( you do not need to know haha)
*Because i was so unsure who she was at the start, she might have mistaken me for a retard :*(
But then as it progressed, i regained my normal self once i knew it was for the job i applied for she started being quite kind and we got along, and so she was going to arrange for a local manager to interview me.

The local manager called me the same day around 4pm and said he would like to interview me. When was the best time.

Second Step: Interview

Tuesday rocked up, the day ive been waiting for, i got into my formal attire and just waited until 12 rocked up, then took the bus etc to the office. While i was waiting i was just reading up interviewing tips and questions they might ask.

I THOUGHT i had my timing down perfect but i was wrong, i ended up there 1hr earlier than i was suppose to haahah, i was thinking oh stuff it, maybe ill just walk in 1hr earlier, but in the interviewing techniques, it said "Do not be late but also Do not be early" so i was thinking well since Chicken Rice is right next to me, might as well grab myself a lunch...

so i sat down, studying some Tax law while eating and the time gone by very slow since i purposely ate very slow haha! okay... 1.50!
Time to go, then i revised some of the questions that i might need to ask again before i walked in.
When i walked in, i can feel my heart pounding, give me a break, this was my first interview! lol

Then i prayed for God's guidance and for his will to be done, whether this was successful or not it was his decision (keep in mind ive been praying all week and not just this occassion, and thats all ive been praying for, that His will be done and not just for success). With that said, the guy was on a call, and i was eavesdropping on his tone of voice hahah

he sounded friendly, so i calmed down abit...
when i went to sit down, he gave me a form to fill out while he sat next to me
i felt so agitated to be filling out something since i need to think and he was just sitting there staring at me...

then i quickly filled it out and gave it to him and he started asking me questions
i sort of stumbled abit on my words, but overall it was great, not as bad as i imagined it to be...
At the end he said i had a great attitude and he will be contacting me tomorrow....
i thanked him for his time and i left.

Third Step: Waiting

Wednesday arrived, i woke up, checked to see if he called, then i went about my usual things and then went dimsum with my parents. Nope no calls! i constantly checked my phone...
My sister assured me, No problem! they usually call after lunch! NOPE NO CALLS!!

i was like man, whats happening...
All hope is lost!
then night time came, i was the least upset coz all ive been praying for is for God's guidance
"i being in the way, the Lord led me" Genesis 24:27

I started to practice my guitar and my sister walked in, thinking ill be feeling bad and she said to me "Don't worry about it, if they dont contact you, its their lose" that made me feel better slightly for her attempt to cheer me up and not the words itself since i wasnt feeling down,
Thank God!

We strummed some songs together and ate dinner...

Boring Events

Once i was ready to sleep, i kinda thought, oh well this is God's will for me, Thank God for it
ive had lost hope in the job but not in God! This is very important...
The reason why i said i lost hope was because he said he would contact me Tomorrow which was the whole day that ive been waiting...

Fourth Step : God's Glory & Blessing

Thursday morning came, i couldnt wake up with my alarm constantly ringing, my alarm is my mobile, so without looking i kept turning it off, then the last ring i thought OKAY time to get up, so i decided to look at my mobile to decide what time it was.

It WAS actually a number! i picked it up...

Steven: Hello?
Interviewer: Hi, this is ####
Steven: OH hi!
Interviewer: hope i didnt wake you up.
Steven: oh no thats fine
Interviewer: well this call was pretty much just to tell you that your application has been successful ... etc etc
Steven: Oh! Thats great
Interviewer: Yup, Congratulations! now what needs to be done is a reference check with the headoffice (i think thats Police Reference i dont know) then ill contact you within 1 or 2 days
then hopefully the staff leader can allocate you a roster to come and work! hows that?
Steven: Thats great, Thanks

I hanged up, and i wrote this post
I hope this is encouraging to you whoever reads this
knowing that God only acts when all Hope is lost
and once all your hope is lost, God acts straight away
Therefore we know it was God's doing.
Like what happened to me in this case.

Kungfu Panda night

First of all, last week, a group of us decided to watch kungfu panda, and we were SURE that it was on the now showing list, so we went there... and was told that it was advance screening... before and now its off until next week...

yes, it was disappointing, we ended up doing random stuff... including me taking a photo with the big fat panda hahaha
Yes, Master Shisho!!

This week, we decided we will go now that its out, got there at 7.20 when everyone was already inside, so had to play "murder in the dark" >_< style="font-weight: bold;">

~ Funny moment ~
Meghan: his name is master wu gui!? Laugh out loud literally, alil bit too loud lol and everyone in the cinema started laughing because of the comment

Actually this is one of the movies that everyone actually constantly laugh out loud through the whole movie, and not just random bursts of laughter in different corners, so that was enjoyable, and btw, the cinema was actually packed!!

We topped the night off by crashing someone's house and playing DDR, singstar and Guitar heroes, it was pretty late by that time, and people started falling asleep on the couches, so yes, it was time to leave...

Life Lesson #1

From here on in...
i will be writing many life lessons
either from my own experience or others experience
serving as a reminder to myself and hoping a lesson to all xD

Life Lesson #1

Once a bar of soap has dropped in a shower
never ever pick it up...!!
as the faucet knobs are larking above
waiting quietly to put you out of your misery

before you know it...
you walk out with a different knob on your head >.<

Nike Zoom Soldier

Zoom Zoom Zoom....
*who can recite the brand of the ad!?*
did anyone say Mazda! WRONG!

~ ITS ~
The Nike Air Zoom Soulja! xD
more commonly known as Zoom Soldier haha
This is the Lebron Weapon!

King James has been wearing the Soldiers in every single game during the playoffs. He more commonly wears the White/Gold and the Navy/White/Gold(the ones i have)... the first game with the weapon Lebron led his Cleveland Cavaliers to an unforgettable playoff run, which led to the NBA Finals. He continued wearing the Soldier in the FIBA Americas Championship where he led the USA team to a perfect record en-route to a gold medal and a spot to compete in the 2008 Olympics.

Here he is wearing the White/Gold Version
Your Talking about a SHOE that has HISTORY tied to it...

Rating of the Shoe?
Its quite tight, and the straps actually work... great use!
Great ankle support, not particularly scared in rolling your ankle
Fabulous Cushion support...
Its actually an outdoor shoe but works just as well indoors...
Top critiqued...
And let me emphasize...

We are the Witnesses!! Tick for being Correct =D
~That is the Shoe you would wear to the Olympics if you were going~
